Welcome to The Ringling College Studio Labs, the first commercial and academic film and post-production facility of its kind in the state of Florida.
Spanning the length of a city block, our 36,000-square-foot complex is home to five professional, acoustically-isolated soundstages, two of them offering 8,400 square feet each; as well as 5,000 square feet of post-production space complete with editing suites, recording studio, Foley stage, Color Grading suite, 7.1 mix room and a 18 seat Dolby ATMOS® Dub Stage. Soundstages (A, C, and D) and the post-production facility are available for commercial use.
Troy Logan is an award-winning, Sarasota-based sound designer and location audio engineer. Since graduating from his alma mater, Ringling College of Art and Design in 2022, Logan founded TroyLo Sounds, a one-stop shop for location and post-audio services in Sarasota. In addition to accessing state-of-the-art facilities, equipment, and expertise, producers and crews have the opportunity to work with Ringling’s talented students on production, and/or post-production, if desired. The Ringling College Studio Labs offers a groundbreaking initiative with a two-fold outcome: students are introduced to the film industry with a hands-on, interactive learning approach; professionals who utilize these facilities have the option to add talented, hard working students to their crew.

Ringling College of Art and Design is committed to fostering relationships within our community and providing educational opportunities.
“Many students go through their entire educational experience without any exposure to the abundance of opportunities in creative careers. We feel so fortunate at Ringling College to have such incredible facilities in which we can help inspire the next generations of creative storytellers.”
Dr. Larry R. Thompson, President, Ringling College of Art and Design
Through community outreach programs, local high school students have had the opportunity to attend week-long workshops at the Ringling College Studio Labs, as well as the College’s PreCollege summer program, and Teen Studios. It is our commitment to continue to identify and create opportunities for students in our community.
